Resintel ("we", "us", "our") operates the Resintel property intelligence platform. We are the data controller for personal information collected through the Platform. For privacy enquiries, contact us at privacy@resintel.co.uk.
We collect information you provide directly (name, email address, payment details when subscribing), data generated by your use of the Platform (search history, saved deals, appraisal records, alerts), and technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, cookies).
We use your data to provide and improve the Platform, process your subscription payments, send service-related communications (account confirmations, billing notifications), send marketing emails where you have consented, and to detect and prevent fraud or misuse.
We process your data under the following legal bases: contract performance (to deliver the service you have subscribed to), legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention, product improvement), consent (marketing communications), and legal obligation (financial record-keeping).
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: payment processors (Stripe) to handle subscriptions, infrastructure providers (cloud hosting and database services) under data processing agreements, and where required by law or court order.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (typically 7 years for financial records).
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, and data portability. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Platform displays data from third-party APIs (including PropertyData.co.uk). These services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party data providers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
